About

“To look, to learn, and to find newness in everything that surrounds me. That’s where I find my inspiration”.

A stylist, couturier and costumier – with over 35 years experience spanning the breadth and depth of the fashion and dance worlds – Olivia Pomp’s astounding career defines what it means to be a creative.

Olivia’s truest talents lie in her belief that everyone, and everything, is beautiful in their own way – whether they are a world-famous supermodel on a campaign shoot, or a high-flying executive in need of a new wardrobe. “When I meet someone, whoever they may be, I look at them, and I know what we are going to create.”

The seeds of Olivia’s exceptional intuition were planted when, after studying French and Russian at university in Munich, she trained as a couturier. Working with real women with a wide variety of body types, this is where Olivia learnt how to build a wardrobe. “It was all about the detail,” Olivia explains. “We learned pattern cutting, the importance of fabrics and fit, and most crucially, how to make a woman feel comfortable in her own skin.”

Following her technical training, the glamorous world of fashion came calling, working as fashion editor at Männer Vogue. Then came the successful move to London and her appointment as fashion director at British Esquire. Later as contributing fashion editor for the FT, The Economist and 125 magazine.

This stellar editorial pedigree led to styling and directing major commercial fashion projects for the likes of Burberry, Liberty, Dunhill, Gucci, Pringle, M&S and IKEA. From womenswear to food, cars to handbags, Olivia’s talent for creating beautiful imagery spans the breadth of many diverse sectors.

Olivia’s instincts came full circle when in 2019 she began working with the Royal Ballet as costume designer for the mainstage production of “Medusa”- a project as coveted as it is challenging - the perfect return to “the joy of making” from Olivia’s couture training. Few understand form, movement, style and humanity as well as Olivia.

Olivia’s love for dance and ballet has led to extraordinary heights, producing four photographic books and exhibitions in London and New York with Rick Guest, showcasing the world’s top ballet dancers and choreographers.

The pinnacle of this passion is the limited edition print portfolio of Ed Watson featuring a foreword by the then Prince of Wales, leading to an invitation to meet the now King himself at Buckingham Palace.

With a vast repertoire spanning interior design, fashion, dance, music and film, every day is gloriously inspiring in Olivia’s eyes – as long as the sun is shining.
